Sage Civil Australia Consigns Four Articulated Dump Trucks to Ritchie Bros. EOFY Auction, Donates $5,000 to Women in Civil

Ritchie Bros., a leading global asset management and disposition company, is pleased to announce a unique consignment in its upcoming National Unreserved EOFY Auction. Asha Russell, Managing Director at Sage Civil Australia, has consigned four dump trucks to the auction. As part of this initiative, $5,000 will be donated to Civil Contractors Federation NSW’s Women in Civil mentoring program, which supports and promotes the role of women in the civil construction industry.

The dump trucks, some painted pink, symbolising strength, solidarity, and support for women in the industry, will be a highlight of the auction. This consignment underscores Sage Civil Australia’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, providing substantial support to an important cause. At Sage Civil, they paint most of their well-maintained fleet pink to reflect their dedication to empowering women in non-traditional roles within the civil construction industry.

The four assets include:

  • 2012 Cat 740B Articulated Dump Truck
  • 2011 Cat 740B Articulated Dump Truck
  • 2012 Cat 740 Ejector Articulated Dump Truck
  • 2012 Terex TA400 Articulated Dump Truck

“I am incredibly proud to consign these dump trucks to Ritchie Bros.’ National Unreserved EOFY Auction. This initiative is very close to my heart, and through it, we aim to raise awareness and support for Women in Civil. By donating $5,000 to this vital organisation, we hope to make a meaningful impact in encouraging more women to join and thrive in the civil construction industry,” said Asha Russell, Managing Director at Sage Civil Australia.

“It’s essential to create opportunities and support networks for women. At Sage Civil, 44% of employees are women in non-traditional roles. I believe this consignment sends a powerful message about the value and importance of diversity in our field. Women in Civil is close to my heart and it’s a mentoring program which I have been involved in for 7 years.”

“We are honored to have Asha Russell and Sage Civil Australia participate in our National Unreserved EOFY Auction with such a significant consignment. The dump trucks represent an important cause that aligns with our values of inclusivity and community support,” said Aaron Smallcombe, Territory Manager at Ritchie Bros.

“Ritchie Bros. is committed to supporting initiatives that foster diversity and provide opportunities for underrepresented groups in our industry. Asha’s dedication and this generous donation to CCF NSW Women in Civil Program exemplify the positive change we want to see in the sector.”

The National Unreserved EOFY Auction, featuring Sage Civil’s dump trucks, will take place June 19 & 20 and is expected to draw significant attention from bidders and industry professionals alike. Participants can bid with confidence, knowing they are contributing to a cause that fosters equality and empowerment within the civil construction industry.

The event will be held exclusively online with those interested in bidding urged to register before the auction.
