MHIAA Awarded BEST BRAND by CHOICE® Awards for the Sixth Consecutive Year

For the sixth consecutive year, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia, Pty. Ltd. (MHIAA) has won the coveted CHOICE® Best Brand of Air Conditioners for 2023. This prestigious consumer choice award is the company’s latest accolade following its recent five-year consecutive streak with the Canstar Blue 2023 Most Satisfied Customer Award and its achievement as the Best Rated Air Conditioner brand for three years in a row in the 2023 Finder Retail Awards.

“This award is especially significant because we are the only air conditioner brand to have achieved this accolade over a consecutive period – making us the most independently awarded brand of air conditioners in the country,” comments Managing Director for MHIAA Mr. Yuji Ito.

Founded 60 years ago, CHOICE® is the voice of the public. As the country’s leading consumer advocacy group, brands must meet stringent requirements set out by the governing body, which includes a minimum of 50 consumer responses to the CHOICE® member survey.

To be considered for the Best Brand award an air conditioner brand must have had at least a minimum of five different models tested by CHOICE® and above average test, reliability, and satisfaction scores. In the 2023 awards CHOICE® reviewed over 200 different models of air conditioners and rated brands across four categories including; Average Test Score, Brand Reliability, Customer Satisfaction and Recommended Ratio.

This year, with a staggering 38 MHIAA models tested, the brand once again came out on top – scoring a cool 74% overall brand score. Brands were each scored against three key criteria, namely: cooling efficiency (40%), heating efficiency (40%) and airflow (20%). Along with this, MHIAA was also rated highly in both reliability and customer satisfaction, achieving a 90% and 91% respective rating for each category. “These results echo a positive sentiment amongst our satisfied customers,” adds Mr. Yuji Ito.

“When we first came to the local market in 1975, we set out with the goal of delivering products that would improve the lives of those who use them, and this award proves that we have achieved – and excelled – in our mission. Results like these drive us to achieve even more in the years to come, and to ensure our customers remain satisfied through our product technology and service.”

The voice of its customers remains firmly at the forefront of technological advancements and customer service at MHIAA. “MHIAA is synonymous with quality and innovation Our company evolves with our customers. We listen to their needs and develop solutions to meet these.” Mr. Yuji Ito, MHIAA.

‘We would like to thank CHOICE for this prestigious honour for the sixth consecutive year as the Best Brand of Air Conditioners, as a continued reflection of commitment to the Australian Consumer,” concludes Mr. Yuji Ito.
