CCF NSW Announces New CEO

Monday, 7th August 2023

The Civil Contractors Federation NSW (CCF NSW) has appointed Kylie Yates as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following an extensive search process.

CCF NSW President Mr Lee Fahey said Kylie’s appointment to CCF NSW– the peak body for employers in the civil construction and maintenance industry – came at a critical time for civil construction businesses.

“Kylie’s advocacy experience and deep understanding of government, policy, and media will help drive the next phase of growth and service delivery for our Members,” Mr Fahey said.

Kylie recently served as the Group Executive, Strategy and Stakeholder Relations at Port Authority of NSW, a State Government owned corporation.

Before that, she held Executive roles at two peak bodies – Local Government NSW and the Centre for Volunteering – as well as senior corporate affairs roles in the energy sector.

“With her track record in advocacy and working for the public good, Kylie will champion our Members’ needs on key policy issues, including fair risk transfer in contracts, increasing female participation and allowing local businesses to compete for local projects,” he said.

Ms Yates said she was excited to join as CEO of CCF NSW on Monday 14 August 2023.

“Every major public and private sector infrastructure project in NSW relies on the local civil construction industry for delivery, so it is important we work together to keep the industry strong and sustainable,” Ms Yates said.

“I look forward to meeting Members across the State to understand their priorities, starting with those attending CCF regional forums in August.

“I am delighted to work with the Board and team to continue their work, lead conversations and offer solutions to the policy challenges we face.”

Kylie replaces David Castledine as CEO after David decided to step down after 12 successful years in the role.
