Captain Formwork delivered complex structural formwork solutions across multiple towers at Newgreens Precinct with precision.

Delivering structural solutions for large-scale, high-density projects is one of the key challenges in modern construction— especially when tight timelines, safety standards, and design changes all converge on a live site.

Captain Formwork was responsible for the full structural formwork package for Parkview’s ambitious multi-building residential development.

“Captain Formwork was engaged to deliver formwork for all structural elements—basements, podium slabs, cores, columns, suspended slabs, and vertical structures,” explains Project Manager Andressa Bittar. “We were proud to be responsible for bringing to life the structural framework that supports this innovative project.”

The complexity of the site presented several challenges, with multiple buildings under construction simultaneously and design amendments occurring during the build. “It required careful sequencing and collaboration with other trades to maintain progress,” said Andressa. “We addressed these challenges through early planning, detailed methodology development, and real-time communication with Parkview’s site team.”

Captain Formwork’s strength lies in its ability to uphold safety, quality, and efficiency across all phases of a project. At Newgreens, the team implemented a staged delivery approach and allocated dedicated crews to each section of the site, supported by consistent supervision and centralised oversight. “We conducted regular toolbox talks, proactive risk assessments, and rigorous quality inspections to ensure we met the high standards expected on a project of this scale,” explained Andressa.

The Newgreens Precinct offered Captain Formwork the opportunity to demonstrate its expertise in managing large-scale, urban residential construction.

“From coordinating multiple work fronts to adapting to evolving designs, our team showed professionalism, flexibility, and technical precision throughout,” noted Andressa. “The project reflects our ability to deliver complex infrastructure efficiently while maintaining structural integrity and safety.”

Formwork Processor

Formwork Processor played a crucial role in delivering high-quality formwork and concrete features for the Forma & Contra project, bringing structural excellence and architectural innovation to the development. With a decade of industry experience, the company specialises in reinforced concrete structures, modular formwork systems, and intricate architectural finishes, ensuring durability, safety, and aesthetic appeal.

For this project, Formwork Processor was responsible for all formwork and concrete features, including: planter boxes on the rooftop and courtyard, pitched concrete roofs on the townhouses, concrete tapers under balconies to hide step-downs, BBQ areas on the rooftop, and all beams and walls within the basement.

“This project required precise execution due to the complexity of its concrete elements,” said Raymond Jabbour, from Formwork Processor. “From curved planter box upturns to intricate concrete skylights, our team overcame significant challenges to achieve a flawless architectural finish.”

The angled concrete roofs and curved façade elements presented technical difficulties, requiring meticulous formwork design and skilled craftsmanship. “One of the biggest challenges was delivering the off-form concrete planter box upturns and angled roof structures,”Jabbour explained. “These features demanded high precision and extensive labour to ensure they complemented the overall architectural vision.”

Formwork Processor are working on a number of other projects, including Skyview, Castle Hill for Aland (600 units), Zetland 888 Bourke Street for TQM (350 units), Wentworthville for OGP (60 units), Lidcombe for MNR GROUP (50 units), Luminar for TQM (80 units), Addison Road mixed use development for TQM and Auburn for Meteay Development (60 units).

With a 40-person workforce, including subcontractors led by Director Samir Tawk, Formwork Processor ensured smooth project execution, integrating strength, efficiency, and superior finishing techniques. Their expertise in high-rise and large-scale developments continues to set industry benchmarks, reinforcing their reputation as a leading provider of advanced formwork solutions in Australia.
