Parramatta Eels NRL Centre for Excellence - Kane Constructions

Where Performance Meets Community

The Parramatta Eels Centre of Excellence, is a transformative project supporting elite performance and community engagement. The striking project features five turf fields, high-performance training zones, aquatic rehab, and a 1,500-seat grandstand. Jointly funded by multiple government bodies, the centre will serve NRL, NRLW, and grassroots talent while expanding the club’s community programs and outreach.

Kane Constructions has once again proven its expertise in delivering complex, high-profile community and sporting infrastructure with its appointment as the Design and Construct contractor for the $51 million Parramatta National Rugby League Centre of Excellence and Community Facility.

Designed to support elite performance while strengthening grassroots rugby league, the project is a flagship for modern, inclusive sports precincts in Western Sydney.

Located in the heart of Parramatta, the project includes a 1,500-seat grandstand, state-of-the-art gymnasium, medical and rehabilitation facilities, aquatic recovery pools, lecture theatre, meeting rooms, administration offices, and a café. Beyond its elite facilities, the development also caters to the broader community, offering a boutique match venue for local clubs and programs such as touch football and league tag.

“This is not just about building for performance—it’s about creating a legacy for the community,” said Nathan Parris, Senior Project Manager. “We’ve worked closely with all stakeholders to ensure the facility can support both the professional athletes of today and the grassroots players of tomorrow.”

Kane’s appointment to the project came with the responsibility of managing the construction process. The site’s location and mixed-use nature presented logistical and coordination challenges that the Kane team tackled through its well-established delivery model and commitment to stakeholder collaboration.

“Our integrated design and construction approach allowed us to be agile and responsive throughout the build. From early planning to the execution phase, we’ve focused on quality, safety, and delivery,” Nathan added.

Alongside HB Arch, Waypoint Group and MostynCopper, the facility’s design supports high-performance outcomes while embracing community engagement. Kane also worked with a range of subcontractors to bring the project to life, who each contributed to the high standard of the build.

“Every detail matters when you’re building something of this scale and significance,” said Nathan. “This facility will be home to some of Australia’s top NRL and NRLW talent. Our goal has been to deliver a centre that reflects the professionalism and ambition of the Eels organisation.”

Sustainability, accessibility, and future-proofing have also been central to the project’s planning. The facility’s design incorporates energy-efficient systems and materials, providing a long-term benefit to both the club and the local environment.

“This is one of those projects you feel proud to be part of,” said Nathan.
